Trump's Black Girlfriend

The media I feel has deliberately ignored one thing about our racist President: he used to date a black girl. According to an article written by Newsone's Nigel Roberts, Kara Young who is African America dated Donald Trump back in the 1990s for two years. Kara Young said that she is surprised that Donald Trump is branded with such an inflammatory label. She asserts that in the two years they were together, she never heard Donald Trump say anything disparaging towards any race of people. Two years is a long time to date someone. And it is certainly long enough for someone who apparently has such deep-rooted hate for non-Whites to relax, let his or her guard down and have a slip of the tongue. We all say things behind closed doors and in the presence of people we know and trust that we wouldn't want made public. I know I do. Yet, over a two year period, this black woman who dated an alleged closet member of the Aryan Nations doesn't feel like her former beau bears any

Does Our Foreign Policy Reflect Our Values?

Image
We're America!!! Right? Even our superheroes are patriotic. Superman was dedicated to "truth, justice and the American way" What a great guy he was. We stand up to evil. We support democracies. And we oppose dictatorships no matter what. Right? Isn't that 100% what we stand for? I'm on to something here, aren't I? Can you hear the cannons of war bringing liberation to the oppressed? Surveys have shown that people around the world see America's government as one that makes a conscious effort to protect the rights of its citizens. Even Middle Eastern countries with a rocky history as far as America is concerned see it as a country with a very fair government towards it's own people. Those same surveys however have also tended to imply that in the minds of many foreign citizens, America's values are not reflected in its foreign policies. When it comes to who we side with, the surveys reflect an opinion that America talks a good game, but ultimately

Donald Trump: A Fish Out of Water

Oh, he's not "presidential". He's "mean". And my personal favorite is when they say that he has emboldened "hate groups" to commit more acts of violence against non-White citizens. I think the real reason President Trump looks out of place in Washington D.C. is because for the most part he is nothing like most of the rest of them. While in order to do what he has done in his real estate investing and developing requires you to be one amazing salesman, President Trump is not a politician. He's not someone that was planted in Washington through the contributions of wealthy special interests. He isn't some packaged, polished and prepared product like President Obama and George W. Bush were. He won the presidency by and ONLY because of the will of the American people, specifically the Republican voter. Americans were clearly tired of the Obama Administration with all of the identity politics and pandering to hateful and divisive groups l

Should there be a minimum wage?

How does someone like Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren come to the conclusion that a small business owner with maybe five employees who are making minimum wage of $7.25 per hour now needs to almost double their labor costs? The small business owner is shelling out a minimum of $75,400.00 per year in labor costs, which doesn't include the matching payroll takes that employers are required to pay. If a federally mandated minimum wage of $15 comes about, that same employer is now looking at a minimum labor cost of $150,000.00 per year. There is no guarantee that there will be more productivity from these employees to offset the higher cost of labor either. What do you think that small business owner will be ultimately forced to do? In order to keep costs down and stay profitable, that company is going to likely have no choice other than to lay at least three of the five employees off. Is that what Sanders and his communist cronies really want?   Please make sure to check o

Cops Are Asking You Questions. Do you know what to do?

What are your rights in an encounter with the police? Does it matter if you are under 18? What should you do? To make a long story short, your best bet is to not answer any questions. You have the right under the 5th Amendment to our constitution to not answer any questions. You have a right to not agree to any searches and/seizures of your property. And unless they can articulate what crime you are being suspected of, you are not required in most situations to show identification. Yes, these rights do apply to those under 18. The Supreme Court has ruled in many cases that the rights offered to people over the age of 18 also apply to minors. Now of course, police can and will lie to minors telling them that they don't have any rights because they are underage. Simply not true. In re Gault was a 1967 Supreme Court case that concluded that the due process clause of the 14th Amendment applies to juveniles in criminal cases. Don't believe me? This is probably one of t

Does any voter care about the budget?

I can remember back in 1992 when H. Ross Perot was running as an independent against then-President George Bush and the Governor of Arkansas, Bill Clinton the budget was a huge issue. America had been running budget deficits for decades and by that time, we had only a $4 trillion national debt. The only president in my lifetime that actually balanced the budget ended up being Bill Clinton. He had raised the top marginal tax rate from 33% to 39.6%, and from 1994 until he left office he had a congress that was controlled by the GOP. If memory serves me correctly, he left office with a budget surplus of around $600,000,000.00 That is pretty significant considering how large the deficits are these days. I can only imagine what if we had stayed on that track. That was the 1990s. And here we are in a new decade more than twenty years later and it seems like the debt and deficit aren't even a blip on the radar of the average voter. When was the last time you heard a college student m
